Adding Lift Haus: Expanding Our Bartlett Footprint in December 2023

After three years of hosting guests at Summit Vista, we knew the next phase of our short-term rental journey would require smart, strategic growth. In December of 2023, that opportunity arrived in the form of a small but perfectly positioned ski-in/ski-out condo at Attitash. The moment Lift Haus hit the market, we recognized the opportunity to complement Summit Vista, deepen our presence in Bartlett, and scale efficiently within a market we already knew well.

A Location With Huge Potential

Lift Haus stood out immediately because of its unbelievable location. Tucked directly alongside the Lower Saco trail, it offered true ski-side access, steps from the snow and just a short glide to Attitash’s main base area. For guests who value convenience, time on the mountain, and the ability to come and go throughout the ski day, this setup is unbeatable.

But the timing was just as important as the address. Attitash had already announced the highly anticipated debut of the Mountaineer lift, a major modernization that promised to transform the guest experience and reposition the resort for the future. We saw it all as a rising stock, an investment that would only grow stronger as Attitash entered a new era.

Between the trail access, the coming lift expansion, and our existing familiarity with Bartlett, we knew Lift Haus had massive upside.

Scaling Efficiently

Because we already operated Summit Vista in the same town, we had a trusted cleaning team and established systems in place. That meant Lift Haus wouldn’t require a reinvention of our processes, it would enhance them. The ability to scale operations without adding complexity was a major factor in our decision to invest.

We also knew the guest profile would be different from Summit Vista, giving us a chance to serve a broader audience. While Summit Vista is perfect for families and groups, Lift Haus offers something modern, efficient, and incredibly convenient for couples and small families who want a clean, updated mountain basecamp with ski-in/ski-out capability.

A Small Property With Big Impact

Since adding it to our portfolio, Lift Haus has quickly become a powerhouse during ski season. Guests love the proximity to the slope, the easy access to après-ski at Attitash, and the ability to maximize every hour on the mountain. What started as a complementary addition has become one of our most reliable seasonal performers.

It also strengthened our presence in the White Mountains and confirmed our strategy: thoughtful growth, operational efficiency, and selecting properties with long-term upside.

What Came Next

With Summit Vista thriving and Lift Haus leading the way during ski season, we began looking for the next opportunity to expand our portfolio. In September of 2025, that next chapter arrived with the acquisition of Timberhaus, a property that would take our White Mountains vision to a whole new level.
